My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jager was on his way to a kill shelter when a kind soul stepped in to save him. He is 8yrs old and weighs around 25 pounds. He bonds with his person and is a good companion but he's independent. He doesn't want to be petted much even though he may be laying by your side. Just leave him be and all will be fine. He gets along with the dogs in his foster and loves to run/play outside. He tolerates a crate. Jager would be best in a home with no small children who may want more interaction with him than he cares for. Housetrained. He has been waiting for YEARS and is currently in a boarding setting, wishing he had a foster or forever home. Neuter, vaccines, microchip provided.

More about this rescue

Homeward Bound Pet Rescue was founded by a team of volunteers with many years of experience in pet rescue. With over 20,000 companion animals being euthanized each year in the Midlands of SC, our goal is to save as many as possible from this dreadful fate. Rescue is expensive, so your help is needed in order for us to save lives. Each pet receives prompt medical attention, is spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted into a loving home. Medical care is our main expense. We also must purchase microchips, heartworm and flea preventions, food and many other supplies. We are an ethical group of volunteers who promises to use every penny for the rescue, care and adoption of pets in need. All donations are tax deductible. No Paid Staff!! Click our PAYPAL link below or mail your check to PO Box 4335, Irmo, SC 29063 THANK YOU!!!
