My story

Dear Future Adopter,

I am a very lucky dog, I know that because even if I don't ever find myself a home- I'll always have a family here that loves me. I've spent the last 7 years of my life off and on at The Animal Resource Center. I originally came to ARC as a skinny, 5 month old stray and was first returned as a 3 year old adult. I spent just over a year with ARC before being adopted a second time and then, one year later, returned for the second time because my previous owners were moving and couldn't take me. So, I'm really, really thankful for my family at ARC.

But my biggest wish - the thing that would be the best thing ever, would be to get a home with my very own people to love me. I've been at the shelter for well over 300 days since I was returned and like I said, I have a lot of people here who love me...but you know how it is. At the end of the day, everyone goes home and the lights get turned down and I'm left in my kennel to dream.

I swear- I'm such a loveable girl; I'm just wary of new people and I react defensively when I'm scared. I warm up rather quickly with some nice treats and a stroll around the property. I would thrive best if I found someone who is knowledgeable and patient to continue helping me with my socialization- because once I'm comfortable with you every ounce of me is pure love and even though I get to do the things I love with people I love here-- like going for walks, running around, playing with toys and just snuggling up for some serious love sessions...still, at night, the lights get turned down and everyone goes home and I dream.

Future Adopters, I know this may sound like a lot to- but I promise I'll pay it forward and generously share my love.

Sincerely,
Ella

**(Ella is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Ella is open to meeting other dogs- a meet and greet is required at our shelter)**
