My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Summer is a super sweet girl who has experienced a lot in her short life. She came to us in the middle of the summer in 2018, the man who brought her in, watched her owner throw her outside after moving out of her home and taking her other 3 cats with her. She came to us with expected heat stroke, but after being seen by an emergency vet she was diagnosed with Idiopathic Vestibular disease, which was assumed to be due to a deep inner ear infection. For a month after the diagnosis, she was unable to walk, or control her bowel movements, but slowly she regained her walking and was a totally normal cat after she was over her ear infection. This is not something that is reoccurring and has not happened since. She would do best in a quiet home with another older and calmer cat. She would not do well with children or dogs. She will take time to adjust to a new home, and does better with men.
All Catado cats come FeLV/FIV tested, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and spayed/neutered.
For more information regarding Summer, email adoptions@catado.org.
We hold adoption events every Saturday at the Petsmart on Val Vista and Guadalupe from 11AM-2PM, please let us know if you would like us to bring Summer for a meet and greet.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

It is the policy of Cat A Do Cat Co-Op that all potential cat adopters complete the Cat/Kitten Adoption Consultation Form and complete an interview with an Adoption Coordinator in order to be considered as a forever home for our cats and kittens.

Cat A Do will determine the best home for each cat or kitten based on the application and interview process. After review of the adoption consultation form and the completion of the interview with the Adoption Coordinator, Cat A Do may recommend a different cat or kitten that is more suitable to your household.

Completion of the application and interview process does not guarantee an adoption approval or guarantee the adoption of a particular cat or kitten. Cat A Do is a privately run, non-profit organization and reserves the right to refuse any adoption that is not in the best interest of the cat or kitten, based on our principles, policies, and standards.

Please read the following instructions carefully.

1. Please fill out all pages of the Adoption Consultation Form as completely as possible. The submission of a complete form will expedite the review process.

2. Your completed adoption form may be emailed to us at adoptions@CatADo.org and a Cat A Do Adoption Coordinator will contact you as soon as possible. You may also bring a completed form to Gilbert PetSmart at Val Vista and Guadalupe.
At Cat A Do Cat Co-Op, we believe there is a home for every animal and we work to find the best match!
