My story

Hi there kind friends! My name is Kittay and I'm a lovely, petite tabby lady who is 12 years old.

The most important thing to know about me is that I am super affectionate and adore being held and cuddled; in fact, I never want my visitors to leave the room and I truly think that I am the perfect girl for someone who's looking for a lap cat! Like a lot of kitties, I tend to shed a fair amount so I need to be brushed regularly. So, it's lucky for me that I absolutely LOVE having my coat brushed to smooth perfection and receiving full body petting massages along the way -- I consider this my "spa time" (tee hee!) and I really look forward to it! When I arrived at MaxFund in July 2020, we found out that I am diabetic which the medical staff can tell you more about. Because of this, I'm available for both foster and adoption.

My dream is to be back in a loving lap in a warm and peaceful home where I belong. While I completely and utterly love people, I do not enjoy the company of other cats so I should probably be the only fur child in your home. I promise that I will shower you with love, affection and appreciation for completing my rescue story and making me a member of your family! Please come meet me!

More about this shelter

The MaxFund is a non-profit organization that was established in May of 1988 to provide medical care for injured pets with no known owners, and to seek out new homes for these animals once they have recovered. The MaxFund is a no-kill dog and cat shelter. MaxFund assists hundreds of people and animals each year by trying to make the correct match between owner and pet. MaxFund adopts our animals to Colorado residents only. The MaxFund is a TRUE no-kill shelter. There is no pre-sorting of animals into "adoptable" and "non-adoptable" categories, discarding the so-called "unadoptable." The MaxFund takes every animal it has the space for. EVERY animal is kept until its owner is found or it is placed in a new adoptive home.
