My story

Meet Tinto, Tinto is a big boy who loves to get attention and all of the pets that you will give him. He loves to play catch with toys or treats, he's pretty good at it too! Tinto has also mastered the art of fetch, but he is still working on learning how to stop as once you get started playing he will insist you keep playing until he is satisfied, or he will bark at you to continue. He is house-trained here at HSEC. Tinto is still young and often acts like a puppy, so he needs a home that is prepared to continue to work with him on his leash manners and not jumping on people. At this time, we do not recommend him for young children although he would be fine with older kids. In our care, Tinto seems to prefer to be the only animal in the home. Tinto will require a fenced-in yard as he likes to play fetch in the privacy of his own home. He doesn't want any see him miss the ball. Could this sweet boy be your new best friend?

At this time, Tinto is in need of training. Because of this his training has been sponsored with an approved trainer and his new adoptive family will need to be willing to take him to his training to make sure that he becomes the best version of himself.

Tinto's adoption fee has been sponsored in memory of Doyle (Canine) Camby

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
