My story

I am the cutest pocket-pittie ever!! I am a petite lady, under 35lb. I need time to warm up to new people. If you are willing to make a few visits and gain my trust, I will smother you with love.

Indy is a 5 year old female American Pit Bull Terrier mix that has been at AWL since 9/9/2019. Indy is super adorable and enjoys lounging with her best bud, Spud. Indy loves going out for walks/jogs, looking cute, and rolling around in grass! Indy is looking for her best friend. Could that be you? Indy is available for adoption, to foster, or just simply going out for walks. Come say hi!

Additional adoption info

The first thing we require the Adopters to do is fill out one of our applications. Once they get that turned into us we call landlords, vets, and references and check to make sure their animals have all been up to date and make sure their landlords( if they have one ) are okay with them bringing home a new animal. We also call the references to make sure they are good animal owners. We will also look at whether or not you have a fenced in yard and how big your yard is ( if adopting a dog). We want to make sure we have the best fit home for the animals. All of our animals have their boosters (adult or puppy). Some are fixed and some are not. We do have a spay/neuter trailer that comes to the shelter at least once a month that spay and neuters our animals.

Go meet their pets

If you are interested in meeting one of our animals, call the shelter 765-362-8846 to make sure the animal is still available for adoption. No appointment needed! You can visit the shelter:
