Update from foster. 6/12/22. Hector has been my foster kitty for 10 months and has not had one application. He is a sweet baby who loves to cuddle, play with his toys and snuggle with Duke. if you're looking for an affectionate kitty who loves to play, Hector is your boy. He is approximately 2 years old. Although his eyes have scarring due to an infection when he was a kitten, his vision does not seem to be hampered (based upon his playing) and I've never had to have his eyes treated in the time that I've had him. 🥰??Hi there, I'm Hector Garcia and I am 1 year old. I am a handsome, grey and white, young man. I was watched over by a kind person when I was found to be homeless, until there was room for me to come to the shelter. I am now living with a foster family waiting for my happily ever after. I am a sweet boy with a rough go of it for a while. I had some illness that cause some scarring in my eyes, but that is now healed and I can see just fine. I am as sweet and affectionate as they come. I love people, being petted, talked to, following my human friends, and sitting with them. I am also pleasantly playful and enjoy string/dangling toys and soft rolling balls. In 1979, rapidly rising river water forced the evacuation of the animals. Once again, the City of Pekin stepped in and donated a building for the animals. Several moves later, and with the help and generosity of many volunteers and community members, TAPS now has a new home at 100 TAPS Lane. Last year we celebrated 50 year of caring for the homeless animals of Central Illinois.
