My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gizmo is a white and red male Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler) mix. He is approximately 7 years old. Gizmo, like most cattle dogs, learns fast with positive reinforcement training and is willing to work for both treats and toys (specifically tennis balls and squeaky toys, which he goes nuts for!). He is educated on clicker training and PJ or Diann can teach you what he has learned. Gizmo needs an owner with no children or other animals who has the time to research how to redirect his ankle nipping onto an appropriate object. Patience is truly a virtue when it comes to Gizmo! Once Gizmo bonds with you, he is extremely affectionate and loves to sit beside you and lean against you and have you put your arm around him. Gizmo will be your best friend FUR-ever! For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30-6 Tuesday – Saturday (closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month).
