Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We purchased Louie from a close friend as a pup. He will be 2 in October 2021. Louie is one hundred percent more hound than retriever/lab.
I was only offered yes and no answers for the questions regarding good with dogs, cats, kids, etc.
Louie is a great dog. But his nose gets the better of him. His ideal home would be on a farm roaming free.
He grew up with kids, since we purchased him at 8 weeks old, but seems to become agitated by them occasionally, along with some dogs and their owners at the dog park. He is very much an alpha-male.
He would be a GREAT hunting dog with his hound nose, along with the right training, but we just don't have the energy or time for the escape artist he's become in a neighborhood where he runs away consistently.
We just want the best for him, and we don't think a neighborhood is the right suit for him.
