My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mordu is a BEAUTIFUL black German Shepherd - he’s mixed with probable Aussie tho he looks all GSD - we were told mixed with Rottie but we don’t see any traits - but regardless he is gorgeous!
VERY VERY high energy and can get somewhat obnoxious when bored!
Mordu is a very sweet guy and needs a best friend. While he’s a great family dog, he’s very much looking for a human to bond with.
Another dog in the house would be perfect - he likes most other dogs but can be bullied as he’s not an Alpha and is somewhat submissive.
Cats haven’t been tested up close but there are cats in the area, mostly neighbors barn cats, that come to the fence and he’s not very interested. Does chase balls and toys but loses interest quickly so high prey drive is low - not to say he wouldn’t chase in the right circumstances but if introduced properly I’d say he’d be fine with cats that are used to dogs being around.
Mordu is crate trained, housebroken, sits, waits (that’s a MUST!), knows down, walks fairly well on a leash and stays at your side when not leashed.
He’s a fantastic dog and will do well with older children - young children could get knocked down, he tends to still run straight at you tho we’re working on that!
Mordu will need continual training - he needs a firm hand! He is a very active dog and NEEDS an outlet for that energy! He is still a little mouthy tho with his energy expelled he turns into a love bug that will happily chew a bone sitting next to you. He is used to being on furniture!

Now the bad - Mordu was rescued, along with his mom and siblings, from a high kill shelter when he was 1 day old. His mom was actually adopted first lol and then his siblings were. He was adopted at 12 weeks old to a young man and his fiancé. We received a call from a shelter that was found running loose and picked up by them. We went and got him of course - the young man said his fiancé didn’t like him so...? - he’s now 9 months old.
We worked with him for a bit, he was very stressed, and tried again.
He was adopted to a young woman that seemed perfect.
Fast forward 4 months and he’s coming back. Not his fault this time either, the other dog in the house has severe anxiety and was trying to attack him! So poor Mordu was the one to go!
So he’s back with us again - and we’re not right for him either!! He NEEDS an active home!!! He NEEDS a buddy!!
Mordu is completed vetted and utd on all shots, microchipped and neutered!
Plz call if you think you may be the right home for him!
Mordu is now 16 months old and deserves his furever family!!
