My story

We rescued this sweet 2 year old (as of May 2022) boy from a public shelter where he was turned in with others because there were too many dogs living in the home. Very sweet natured, he is quite shy and still getting used to things, he likes the company of dogs and has tested very well with cats too. He would love a chance for a real forever home with someone who has the patience to let him blossom into the wonderful pet that he will be. For more information on this dog please call our rescue facility at (818) 340-1186 or (818) 340-1687, submit an application from our website or email adopt@petadoptionfund.org.

Why adoption is a great option

Lou, a Canoga Park Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Canoga Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Canoga Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Canoga Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Canoga Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Canoga Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
