Sandy is 2 years old, about 40 lbs. She was found after likely being hit by a car and had a fractured pelvis. She has recovered here and was spayed. Brown and white.
She is a nice girl, but she is fearful in certain instances. For a long time, she didn't like her neck area touched, which means that she was afraid of leashes and collars. However, she has gotten over this with most of our staff, and it's all in the approach. She is friendly to our volunteers, though, and follows them to the exercise yard or front patio/reception area. She's ok with almost all other dogs, and loves calm and loving petting. She is wary of strangers (both human and canine), but not aggressive. She will need a home that is experienced with timid dogs: patient and that will help her with her fears. NO CHILDREN please.
