Oh Rupert, the light of our lives! Rupert is a 2 year old neutered male kitty and he is a staff favorite. He's full of personality in all the best ways. He's social, confident, and affectionate and super tolerant of being picked up and hugged (which is great because you WILL feel compelled to squeeze him). He also has the most gorgeous smokey coat. His fur is black on the ends, but if you brush it back you will see the inner layers of his hairs are gray...resulting in a cool smokey pattern! Plus he's treat motivated and ready to learn some cool tricks.

Rupert is positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), which means he has a compromised immune system. FIV is not easily transmitted to other cats so he can live in a household with cats that have not tested positive just fine. FIV+ cats can live healthy, long lives as long as they are kept indoors and have good preventative medical care .
