With her soft, expressive eyes and warm, affectionate nature, she wins hearts everywhere she goes. Her foster describes her as “100% a snuggle-bug,” and she has absolutely earned the title — Queen is happiest curled up beside you, resting her head on your lap, or shadowing you from room to room just to be near.
In her foster home, Queen has been a dream. She is fully housetrained and thrives with a simple, consistent routine. When left alone, she’s respectful and relaxed — snoozing peacefully on the couch until her people return. She is crate-trained, but she prefers the comfort of a cozy dog bed or soft sofa, where she can stretch out and drift into the calmest nap you’ve ever seen.
Queen’s walks are one of the highlights of her day. She has lovely leash manners, staying calm and steady most of the time. If she gets excited about another dog or a particularly interesting smell, she may pull, but she responds beautifully to redirection and cues like sitting nearby or playing “Find It.” She continues to make progress every week and loves exploring trails, fields, and quiet wooded paths.
This sweet girl adores people. Whether meeting new adults at home or greeting strangers out in the world, she offers gentle enthusiasm, soft body language, and an endlessly wagging tail. She soaks up love like she’s waited her whole life for it — because she has.
Queen has also done wonderfully building relationships with the resident dogs in her foster home. With patient introductions — including time apart, gate greetings, parallel walks, and slow-step exposure — she now coexists peacefully but she would prefer to be the only dog in her forever home. She continues to thrive with structure and routine, and her foster has set her up beautifully for continued success.
Her energy level is steady and age-appropriate: a perfect mix of easygoing companion and happy explorer. She enjoys daily walks, the occasional romp in the yard or a snowy adventure, then settles right back into snuggling, gently playing with stuffies, or watching the world from a comfy spot.

When you arrive, you will first be asked to fill out our Shelter Adoption Application with your information. You may also pre-fill our Shelter Adoption Application ahead of time online to save time when you are at the shelter. Your application will be processed after you meet the animal.
Step 3: Tour our adoption rooms and write down the names of animals that you would like to meet. A volunteer or staff member will help you meet your chosen animals to make a match!
Step 4: When you have selected the right animal for you, our Adoptions Team will run your Adoption Application for approval. Once your application is approved, you will participate in an adoption class where you will learn all of the details about your new adopted family member, including their known history and medical records.
What else to expect: Animals who are already spayed/neutered and past their stray hold (if applicable) can often go home with you the same day. Pick-up arrangements for unaltered animals and/or animals still on a stray hold will be made during your adoption class.
