Meet Murphette (Murphy for short)!!!
Love me feed me and never leave me. Murphette is a year old and its believed to be a super mutt mix. Honestly, she reminds me of Brittany Spaniel's boarder collie lab boxer French bulldog mix. She's on the smaller side at barely 43# But truly we don't know what all breeds she may be. She does have a very mellow personality. She is the last of her litter and for reasons, none of us can understand she has not been adopted yet. She is a magnet and tend to pick up peoples personality and mimic them to a T.
Murphette loves kitties a lot, dogs of all sizes, and humans too again with a slow intro. Why slow? Because she lacks confident but once she feels safe and comfortable her confidence is out of this world. She can be a but reserved but with a confident handler, she forgets she's unsure and easily follows the lead. An active home with another playful confident friendly balanced dog is a must, older children are preferred and honestly best as she struggles to accept their energy. Bonus if there are kitties or any small critter in the home as this girl loves them. Murphette is patiently waiting for her happy forever to find her. We, including Murphette hope it happens soon. She is super sweet, snuggly, cuddly, and affectionate with the humans but somewhat dependent however that's not the case when it comes to dogs. She gravitates and tends to be their shadows. They must be ok with her becoming their shadow. It's her nature to love and be loved. Can be unsure of strangers but we are working to eliminate this behavior. Murphette is a silly goofy girl. Murphy can be a little shy sometimes at first anyway. She is very sweet and tends to be very nurturing with all dogs. Murphette enjoys car rides and meeting ALL the dogs at farmers markets, parks, community outings, the lake house. She is very active and playful but on the calmer side. Murphy is a follower so a home with other playful, balanced, friendly leading dogs is a must. Murphy is crate and house trained. She is left out unattended uncrated and she does well but remember she is still a puppy. She is very food, treat, and toy motivated as well.
Murphy was one of a litter of 7 puppies who contracted parvo as puppies. 3 survived and Murphy is the last of her litter waiting for her happy forever.
Murphy is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, de-wormed, fecal tested negative, micro-chipped, neutered, and on monthly heart-worm flea/tick prevention.
Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter.
We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a lifetime commitment.
