My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rolo - Dachshund/Terrier Mix - Male - 6 Months - www.twyla.org

Meet Rolo: This cute little dachshund/terrier mix boy is about 6 months old and weighs 12 lbs. We estimate he will end up being 20-25 lbs fully grown. As far as we know, Rolo had only lived outside with little to no human interaction for the first 6 months of his life. When his foster family was finally able to catch him and bring him home, he was scared of just about everything. Thankfully, within just a few weeks, he started to really come out of his shell! Rolo currently enjoys laying on big comfy dog beds with the resident dogs, cuddling on the couch with his foster mom, and sunbathing in the backyard. In a short time, he has gone from a puppy who was scared to be touched, to one who asks for attention from the people he trusts all day long (and we can't help but give it to him). We're very excited to watch his personality grow and change as he gains more confidence in his new life.

Rolo would probably be great with either an active or laid-back family environment, as long as he gets to be involved in whatever's going on. Rolo is very nervous about new things, so we believe a family with another dog to show him the ropes would be best.

***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
