Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Clyde is an adorable senior hound who looks like a giant Beagle. He’s about 52 lbs, and estimated to be 10 years old.
Although a senior and in spite of a difficult, neglectful life, Clyde still has quite a bit of pep in his step and is hoping for plenty of fun times ahead.
Clyde joined BAARK last November from a high kill shelter in Southern Illinois. Not only is he a senior, but was heartworm positive as well…...further reducing the likelihood that Clyde would get out alive.
We at BAARK rescue many heartworm positive dogs, treat them, and ensure they no longer suffer from this potentially fatal disease. Clyde has recovered and is now looking for a forever home and family of his own.
An ideal family for Clyde is one with previous Hound experience and is knowledgeable of the antics of this breed!! Hounds love to snoop around, sometimes get into things they should not, are eager to “taste-test” anything that appeals to them (not necessarily food items!), and can on occasion be rather vocal. We expect that Clyde would do well with another senior in the home, or as an only dog receiving all the family’s attention for himself.
Clyde’s favorite pastimes include lounging in the sun, napping indoors, and checking out snacks.
Clyde is up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm preventative, neutered and microchipped.
