My story

As one of very few small animal rescues in the area, Heartland Small Animal Rescue has a constant flow of guinea pigs coming in and out of our rescue!  Please send us an inquiry or application and let us know what you are looking for.  Your new best friend may not be listed on our website yet.  We will be happy to help you make the perfect match!

Adoption fee:
$25 single adult/ $40 pair/ $55 trio (habitat not included). We have a variety of previously owned cages available for purchase with an adoption.  We also have soft and cozy snuggles sacks available for a $10 donation.  Piggies love them!





A $2 convenience fee is added to all debit/credit card payments of small animals.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

Puppies (under 8 months) $350 Puppies (8-12 months) $250

Senior Dogs (over 10 years) $100
Cats $100/ over 3 years $50
Rabbits $50 (includes alter)
Ferrets $150/pair; $100 /single

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit serving South Bend & surrounding cities. We are comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers who work to find loving homes for homeless pets in our area.

Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
