ADORABLE FIT YOUNG LADY SEEKS HOME FOR ME AND MY BOYFRIEND STUBBS.
Hiya! My name is Peanut and I’m just the bees knees! I’m just a 3-year old bully girl who is going on her third home (along with my brother Stubbs). More on him later because I love him so. You see my first family sold me on Craig’s List…I really hate Craig’s list. A nice new family was where I landed for the past year. I played with their children and their other 2 dogs. But an unexpected event caused turmoil in the home and the family needed to send me to a home where I would get more time and attention.
Unfortunately, my last dad, a fireman, injured his back and had to undergo emergency surgery of a very critical kind. With all of the care involved with his recovery, the family knew that I just wasn’t going to get what I deserved, so they called CEBR who picked up me, and my brother Stubbs, and we headed home with them!
I really am the sweetest and most gentle of girls. I am wonderful with kids and love other dogs. As a matter of fact, while I write this I am setting here with 5 others around me and it doesn’t bother me a bit! I’m an independent girl in that regard and will look for my ball or Frisbee to entertain me. Have you ever seen a bulldog chase and catch a Frisbee? Well if not, I can show you! And boy do I LOVE my tennis ball. I will put it in my mouth and growl at you (it seems scary, but it’s really not). It’s just me trying to talk you into playing with me. As a matter of fact, you could reach your hand right into my mouth to take the ball and I wouldn’t hurt you. All talk baby!
Coming into CEBR’s care, I had bad allergies. They believe it was the food I was eating…Beneful. So they switched me to a high quality holistic blend which we are hoping clears up my allergy symptoms which included bumps and little scabs all over my beautiful coat, a deep and infected nose wrinkle, and a raw belly and underside with a staph infection caused as a secondary reaction to the allergy break-out on my belly. Wish some Benedryl, a little allergy shot, and antibiotics and this new diet, I should be spiffed up in no time at all!
Other than these allergy issues, I am great! My vaccines are updated, I am heartworm free and microchipped too!
So here’s the kicker. I don’t want to be separated from my brother Stubbs. You are saying “two bulldogs, how can we handle that?” Well you don’t have to. Stubbs and I are a silly pair. He’s a basset and beagle mix and the shortest, squattest, silliest little thing you ever did see. Read all about him in his profile too. We get along swimmingly and he really needs me.

Peanut and Stubbs will be adopted together for an adoption fee of $700. Our adoption criteria for them are as follows:
- CEBR Adoption Radius Only. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- A family that will spend the extra money on a high quality diet.
- Someone to make sure Peanut’s allergies are under control.
- A family that will clean Peanut’s wrinkles and both Peanut and Stubb’s ears often!

We serve Chicago-proper and the surrounding suburbs, Illinois, Northwest Indiana, Southeastern Wisconsin including Milwaukee and now will accept intakes from Ohio and Missouri.
CEBR’s Directors and core volunteers are members of the Bulldog Club of America and the Bulldog Club of America Rescue Network. What that means for adopters, surrendering families and shelters is that our bullies get the highest level of care and commitment. They spend their time with us in foster homes where they get daily love and attention.
We are an Illinois licensed shelter and a 501c3 charitable organization. The care we provide our English bulldogs includes a high quality diet, the best veterinary care around (from a bulldog specialist!), and behavioral evaluations of the highest quality. Each of our rescued bullies typically costs CEBR more in care than the adoption fees we collect – on average $536 per bully. Your contributions to help care for our bullies would be so appreciated.
