Let`s talk about Leo! Did you know that leos are very energetic, loyal, determined, and sensitive souls? These qualities fit this particular Leo to a tee! And he`s looking for his forever home to set his stars to. This particular little `lion` lab-mix weighs a wonderful ~60lbs, and is about 3.5 years old (past those pesky teenage years but still has all the get-up-and-go of a young-un).
-Housebroken & non-destructive -LOVES hikes, walks, & anything to do with being with you outside -Gets along with other dogs (big & small), but loooooooves his humans -Gives you options! He also wouldn`t mind being your one and only -Did well with my cats, but would do best with a slow intro -Cuddles are required - he`s both super loving AND very playful -Will steal your heart with just his eyes -Gives the most gentleman-like paw ever. Of all time.
Leo really just wants a lap to lay his head on, a hand to hold, and someone that can appreciate his goofy faces. His ideal home would probably be a little quieter, where there isn’t a ton of foot traffic and he gets time to settle in. He sometimes takes a little time to settle in to a new environment (and animal roommates), but once he does, he`s all love. A person or couple that doesn’t mind a Velcro dog in the house, a bathroom guardian extraordinaire, and an amazing napping partner. But he`s also a dog that is always up for a walks, hikes, crazy car adventures, or yard time (for instance, he loves the flirt pole, tug and fetch!).
Leo is crate trained, but he`s actually the dog that gets to free-roam in my house when I leave for the day. Even though he loves his people, he`s never had an issue being left home alone. He`s the one that`s waiting for me with a smile on his face and a stick in his mouth. AND he knows lots of great skills, such as `sit`, `here`, `stay`, `down`, `off`, `paw`, `kennel up`, `place`, `wait`, `find it`, and `scoot` (when I need him to push over a bit, ha). He`s working on `paws up` and `sit pretty` but they are definitely a work in progress. He loves working with his people and learning new things!
His favorite activities are hiking, snuggles, guarding bathrooms, chewing sticks, and naps in the sun. He`s done amazing with his foster-dog brothers, and has been a rock-star at playgroup both at PACC and a more recent training facility. Leo loves playing with his foster brother, even though he loves his people best. And to be honest, I’ve fo
