+++ REQUIRES ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME +++
NAME: Rosa Diaz
LITTER: Rosa Diaz is part of the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" litter.
AGE/GENDER: 7.21.21 DOB/Female
BREED: Labrador Retriever mix
TEMPERAMENT: Playful and mischievous, shy and energetic
WEIGHT: 60ish pounds
HOUSE TRAINING: Good.
CRATE TRAINING: Good. She is crated at night and sleeps through the night. She eats in her crate as well.
OTHER DOGS: Good! She will need continued socialization with others. She loves other dogs and requires another dog in the home as she is an excessively shy girl. The dog in the home needs to be outgoing and social to help teach her the world is not a scary place.
CATS: She ignores the cats in her foster home
CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 12 and older
ADOPTION DONATION: $550.00
HEALTH: Rosa Diaz is healthy! She is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed, and up to date on vaccinations. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs.
HISTORY: Rosa came to us from Texas with her brother and sister. They were part of an unwanted litter and grew up without training and unsocialized. They grew up in the country in a country setting and not exposed to other people or places.
NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Rosa Diaz is the sweetest and happiest of pups. She will love you to the moon and back. However, she needs to get to know you first. Once you are in her circle, she dances when she sees you and is full of kisses and a wagging tail (and body). She is afraid of new places and new people as she was not exposed to such when she was young. While she needs some time to warm up to people, she loves dogs and absolutely adores puppies. However, she's not a tiny girl so she has to be supervised with puppies as she doesn't understand her own size and strength. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and is always asking one of the dogs in her foster home to play with her. She loves to run and run and will often do zoomies in the backyard and ask the other dogs to chase her. However, she will run over a smaller dog in her exuberant laps. She loves to run and run. She loves toys; however, she does like to unstuff toys as well. She enjoys emptying the dog toy box; however, hasn't learned yet to pick up after herself.
She gives sweet kisses and has the sweetest eyes. She loves to play with the other dogs in the home and is submissive to the seniors. She will lay at your feet while you work and likes to be in your company. She is really just a sweet girl who loves and wants to be loved.
Rosa Diaz is an absolute sweetheart! She is shy
to start but when she warms up to you she is
the biggest love bug! She is excellent at crating
is very polite at taking treats and would
absolutely excel in a home where she can gain
the confidence to really show off her
personality. She is very low key, and plays very
nicely with other dogs. In terms of potty
training she is doing very well and so far with a
routine and frequent access to outside she is
doing amazing! She is currently working on walking in
the heel position on leash and may be nervous
meeting new people at first. She would be an excellent
match for someone who is looking for a gentle
and loving girl like her.
All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs.
Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that is run entirely by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and request an adoption application and we will work toward approving you as an adopter with our rescue so that we can set a time for you to meet!
