Meet Gertie! Sweet Gertie is a 10-year-old terrier mix who weighs about 11 lbs. She came to us extremely matted and with severe hair loss from years of neglect, but now is looking and feeling so much better! Just look at those gorgeous locks of hair.

Lovingly nicknamed “Grannie” by her foster mom, Gertie is the kind of gal who makes everywhere feel like home. She is very affectionate, and one of her favorite hobbies is giving soft kisses to those who will let her. She enjoys exploring new places and going on short walks, but really just wants to be where you are. Whether it’s watching TV or sleeping next to you while you work, Gertie is happiest by your side.

Though she doesn’t hear very well, you wouldn’t know. Gertie seems to always know where everyone is with her nose—she certainly knows when it’s time for breakfast and dinner! She’s the perfect little mellow lady who’s still got plenty of spunk to spare (to match her spunky hair, of course).

Gertie is up-to-date on shots, bloodwork, fecal tested, and microchipped.

Adoption process includes application, interview, home visit, contract and donation.
