My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Willis - Poodle/Havanese Mix - Male - 12 Years - www.twyla.org

If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org

Meet Willis: This poor older guy was found abandoned completely matted, dirty, unable to see or walk. Willis spend considerable time at the Vet receiving extraordinary care and love and attention and has blossomed into a feisty and funny little dog. He cannot straighten his back legs and walks on his back hocks, and he gets around surprisingly well. Medical intervention was deemed unfavorable due to this advanced age. Willis LOVES snacks, loves attention and affection and gets along well with the other dog in his current foster home - is more of a parallel living than interacting with the other dogs.

Willis is looking for a rather quiet home - a retirement home - with or without another similar sized dog of compatible energy - he's not one to play with another dog. Willis would love to spend his days sitting on a lap, or snoozing on the sofa or dog bed next to his person, being let out in the yard for his business a few times a day and regular meals and the occasional snack. Willis is taking a few medications that will need to be continued.

***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
