My story

Estimated DOB: 5/19/19

Miss Sylvia is a sweet tortie girl. She had a rough start in life and has come so far! She is ready for and deserving of all the love going forward!

Sylvia loves playing with toys, especially toy mice and anything that she can chase around, and eating her salmon dinners for treats. Once she gets to know you she loves cuddling up and just relaxing with you. She can be guarded if she is feeling overwhelmed, but with patience and love, she will continue to let her guard down.
Sylvia will do best in a quiet home where she can be your one & only. She is FIV+, but very capable of living a normal and happy life! Sylvia is ready for loving home where she can share all of her love!

Please note: Sylvia has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but as an indoor cat with a family that takes good care of her, she has every chance of living a long and healthy life! To learn more about FIV, check out the infographic in the photos.

Why adoption is a great option

Sylvia, a Sioux Falls Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sioux Falls, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sioux Falls.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sioux Falls already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sioux Falls breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sioux Falls paves the way for another one to be saved.
