My story

Meteor is looking for a home with another kitty friend to play with. He likes to play chase with other cats, loves his feeding time, and cat grass. He would be best in a quite home and it will take a while for him to get comfortable, but once he does he is a real lover. He isn't a lap cat, yet, but he loves to have his belly and ears rubbed on his terms. He also likes the nick name GG short for grey guy as his beautiful all grey coat stands as his signature feature..Learn more on our website at:

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Visit our website at to see the kitties we have available for adoption. Click on a kitty you're interested in, or e-mail us at, and we will respond with an Adoption Questionnaire for you to complete and return to us. Once your application has been approved, we can direct you to whatever locations have kitties meeting your specific requirements. Adoption fees range from $50-$100 for adult cats, $80-$110 for older kittens, and $100-$160 for kittens under 5 months (less $30 on a pair). At the time of adoption you will need to complete an adoption contract, pay the adoption fee in cash, and supply a secure cat carrier in which to bring your new best friend home.

Go meet their pets

We have kitties awaiting adoption at foster homes throughout San Diego County. We also have kitties offered for adoption at the La Jolla PetSmart, 8657 Villa La Jolla Drive; as well as at other adoption centers across the county. Once your completed Adoption Questionnaire has been approved, we can direct you to whatever locations have kitties meeting your specific requirements!

More about this rescue

Cat AdopTion Service is a non-profit, all-volunteer, no-kill organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and permanent placement of homeless cats and kittens; and to ensuring that all cats, domestic and feral, are spayed or neutered. We have no facility, but rely on a foster home network to care for the kitties until they are adopted. Prior to adoption, all of our cats are current on their vaccines, treated for intestinal parasites and fleas, spayed/neutered, tested for feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses (for kittens, we test either the mother or half the litter), and we have addressed any other medical needs that appear during their stay with us.
