My story

We have a joey in our midst! Meet LEE, a most elegant boy and sweet boy who loves his toys and other dogs and just LOVES romping and jumping around the yard!

He is currently about 30 lbs and a little under 7 months old.

We think he's a Lab/Hound mix due to his floppy ears, and rich dark coat that shines black and brown depending on the light.

Lee is a very good boy who has been nothing but sweet, but who will require a patient adopter because he's a little shy! He has been in a fancy doggy camp which helped him socialize with many different dogs and people, and get used to walking on a leash! He has made AMAZING PROGRESS, and is far less shy than he was before when we found him on the beach.

We know with love and patience, he will gain even more confidence. In an ideal world, we would love if he went to a home with another dog because that would help with his confidence even more, but it is not a requirement.

PLEASE READ: This dog is currently located in Puerto Rico. Once an adopter is approved, we transport to New York!

In addition, if you are applying for this dog or any of our pups, you must be open to dog psychology/behavior (Cesar Millan) and fulfilling the needs of the dog.
We recommend puppies receive 5-7 structured walks daily !
We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority.

We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years).
Please consider your future lifestyle after COVID.

Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. We recommend puppies receive 5 half hour walks (bare minimum) daily. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog.

In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy. Please also note that any dog that is 'house trained' will still need patience in a new home, new people and new schedule. Please be ready to house train ANY dog you adopt ! Thank you for understanding.

More about this rescue

Miracles for Satos Rescue

We are an all volunteer, no-kill, not-for-profit, 501c3 rescue group.

We rescue the satos (street dogs) of Puerto Rico from the streets, kill shelters and bad situations. Satos are unfortunately in abundance and these amazing sweet spirits need our help to find permanent loving homes!
We are the voice and for those who can not help themselves!

All donations are fully tax deductible!

Our rescuers and volunteers are unpaid so that any monies can be dedicated solely to the dogs! Medical, food, supplies, spay/neuter, and maintenance of our farm/sanctuary facility in Puerto Rico, transportation costs, and training are among the many expenses we have. We try to never say "no" to any dog in need!

We and our satos are grateful to our donors and our fosters and adopters!
