My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marley #035-21

❤️Fenced yard required? No
❤️Good with other dogs? Selective, but would be easiest as an only pet
❤️Good with cats? Unknown
❤️Good with kids? Yes but would do best with children 12 and older

Marley is a sweet, friendly and energetic girl. She is 2 years old and weighs about 55 lbs. Her paperwork says she is a Retriever mix, but we think there was a mix up somewhere! She LOVES attention and hasn’t met a person yet that she doesn’t want to be best friends with (and nobody can resist her little wiggle butt)! She is a well behaved dog, who listens well and wants to please. She knows “sit”, “down” and “come” and is working on other commands with her foster family! Marley is a dog who loves getting out and exploring! Her foster mom takes her to play in the creek and out to dog friendly stores whenever she can, and it makes for one happy pup! She also enjoys hanging out with her foster mom while she works in the yard and doesn’t need to be entertained, she is just happy to share your company. She wants to have doggie friends so badly, but we feel she would do best as an only pet. Marley thinks kids are great and her tail goes a mile a minute when she sees them, but she also loves to jump up and give bear hugs (which her foster family is teaching her is not polite). She would do best in a home with older kids who can remind her to use her manners and won’t get knocked over on accident. She needs an adopter who will continue her training, set boundaries, and be willing to work with a trainer, if necessary, to give them some tips on how to do that. Marley will make an amazing companion and friend for some very lucky family!
