My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Viola - Female Shepherd Mix. DOB 1-22-2019. This playful girl loves to be outside and really enjoys water. She is a very loving pup but can seem a little shy at first. Her ideal home is pet free and calm until she can unwind and relax. She was brought in as a stray and has been at the shelter two and a half years; will you be the one to give her a chance? As a long term resident, her adoption fee is discounted to $50!

More about this shelter

Our facility was opened in 1978. We have 7 employees. We provide a pretty good life for our shelter animals while always trying to get them adopted into new loving homes. We take cats PetSmart in Springfield every two weeks. We also take advantage of as many remote adoption events as possible. We receive no funding from any city, state or government agencies. We survive through donations, fundraisers and our Thrift Shop (resale store) located in downtown Reeds Spring, MO. We also have a Guardian Angel Program. Guardian Angels can provide care for a specific animal for $25 per month. They receive a picture of animal, bio and periodic updates about their adopted pet. We have a spay/neuter fund and take donations for that. All of our pets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
