My story

Kimber (given name) was brought to us as a stray by a local Police Officer, May 2021. He brought her to our shelter & we were hopeful since she had a micro chip. The owners were in Wappingers Falls and only to find out that they supposedly had re homed this sweet and very loving dog 6 months earlier on CRAIGS LIST😡 and did not remember to who! NEVER EVER re home animals on Craigs List!! Kimber deserves better than this. She LOVES attention and is a great dog! She needs a loving family, and one that is willing to walk her (not tie her up in a yard,) and that is active! She loves to be a central part of everything going on. Added note - Kimber enjoys agility training with a squeaky toy and is very trainable and very smart.

Why adoption is a great option

Kimber, a Goshen Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Goshen, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Goshen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Goshen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Goshen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Goshen paves the way for another one to be saved.
