My story

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the Adoption Application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***

Meet Lola!  This white girl with black spots is looking for a new forever home and would do best as an only cat or perhaps with her equally and striking brother Sir Nala.  They were both brought to the shelter as teenage kittens and have been trying hard to fit in but it just isn't their favorite place to be.  Their estimated birthday is March of 2020.  One fun thing we have discovered just lately is that Lola LOVES dogs!  While we were dog testing one of her roommates, Lola was absolutely infatuated with Birdie the shelter dog and couldn't stop rubbing on her and giving her kisses.  She even went so far as to cuddle around Birdie's legs and get drug around the room as Birdie was doing her job walking about in the room.  Lola and her brother Sir Nala are altered, up to date on vaccinations and micro-chipped.  Their adoption fee is free will to approved applicants.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
