Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Spanky was rescued in 2012 as a puppy with a recently amputated leg. From the moment I looked at him in the adoption ad, I knew life would be an adventure, and it certainly has been! He has lived in OH, TN, travelled cross country and Canada to his current home in Alaska, and has been a great adventure pal through it all!
He is now a 9 year old with more grey hair but no less energy and spunk!
He knows no stranger and greets you with abundant joy and energy! When he does slow down, he’s a pretty amazing cuddle buddy!
About 9 months ago, we had our first human baby, and expected to have to manage Spanky’s high energy, but didn’t anticipate how things have gone. As our Son has become more mobile, Spanky has been increasingly nervous around him, and despite our best attempts to desensitize and keep them separated, we have had two biting incidents and no longer feel it is best for either of them to live together.
We are absolutely heartbroken and only want the best for him!
