My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am the adorable RUDY who has just arrived from Tennessee. I am very friendly and love everybody. Through no fault of my own, I found myself looking for a new family as my owner passed away and there was nobody to look after me. Just Paws is changing all that and will find me my perfect family.

I love to go on walks, so if you like walking I am your guy! I have good leash manners and don’t bother others when on my walk. I can be a little vocal when watching the world go by at my Foster Dad’s window – but when he tells me to stop barking, I do. I just want to warn him of possible intruders coming! I am part Jack Russell, so barking is going to happen from time to time. I would not do well in a condo as I will annoy your neighbours when I do bark. I would love a fenced in yard where I can just go out, lay in the sun, and enjoy the fresh air. I’m not really a squirrel chaser, but they do get my interest if they come into my Foster Dad’s yard. Bonus, I am fully house trained! For those with allergies, I do shed.

I will not do well in a crate, but I don’t need one. When my Foster Dad goes out, I whine for a few minutes and then I settle – I wait patiently for him to return and very happy to see him. I am NOT a high energy dog, so I do like to chill and enjoy being with my human. I am good with dogs with the proper introductions, and I should be OK with another one to live with, but I don’t have to have one. Not cats, please!

Here is what my Foster Dad says: “Rudy is a very gentle soul. He loves his walks and LOVES to cuddle. He sleeps with me at night and stays until I wake up. When he is not outside enjoying the weather, he follows me everywhere as he likes to be close. Rudy is a very affectionate, trusting, and loving boy. He is going to make a wonderful addition to a family. He really is a dream dog!”

How do I sound so far? If you believe I am the sweet dog for you, then put in an application as I really want to find my forever home. You are going to get lots of love from me! Hugs and Kisses, Rudy!!!
