Shelby is turning seven in July. She is a purebred "English Jack Russell Terrier"; different breed, and small. She is my son's dog, and due to a promotion, he moved and could not take her with him. I've been taking care of her for over a year, and I'm moving to the east coast, and he still can not care for her, and the apartment I'm renting will not allow pets.
She loves men, and prefers them, but she's been fine with me. She has slight allergies, so I've got some medication that I give her (1/2 tablet) when she's scratching constantly, but that is rare. She is afraid of fireworks, so she'll want to be right next to you, or on your lap, or I've put her in her safe zone (kennel) if the fireworks are close by.
The main thing is---she wants to be with YOU! She wants to be your constant companion--go in the car, on walks, visits with friends. I've been working remotely for the past year has worked out; she likes other cats and dogs.
