My story

Hendrick is available for adoption through our North Alabama location, Felines & Canines Rescue Center.

Hendrick is a beautiful adult boy. He is approximately 4 years old and 46 lbs. He appears to be an Australian Shepherd mix of some kind. He definitely has herding dog tendencies and would best succeed in a home with an adopter who is familiar with the breed. In his foster home, he will body block other pups away from his foster mom who he bonded to and shows his herding abilities.

Hendrick enjoys time outside and is savvy at using a doggie door to go out into his foster home's fenced back yard. He has been completely housebroken with his foster, but with all dogs they can regress when moving to a new home. Hendrick prefers to be loose in the house when his foster mom is gone and doesn't mess anything up. He gets zoomies and loves to play with stuffies. This boy looooooves to snuggle and would like a home best where he can get on the couch and cuddle up with his people. Hendrick is also fantastic on leash!

He is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines. He has been treated for heartworms and is in the recovery process.
