My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Despite his name, Moodie is perhaps one of the happiest cats we've ever had the pleasure of caring for at our shelter. He is full of personality and LOVES to snuggle, especially laying on your lap and head-butting your hands for more attention. While he does not currently live with other cats, he seems like with a gradual introduction he might do okay in a home with other kitties.

This poor guy ended up at another shelter in desperate need of some dental help, but they quickly found that what he needed was more than they had resources for. Luckily, we had space and resources to provide and so Moodie was transferred to us. He's had 3 full dental procedures and while we can't guarantee he won't need more in the future, we've helped set his future family up for success and he is already feeling 10,000x better!

Moodie is FIV+ which means his immune system is compromised. With regular preventative veterinary care and an indoor only lifestyle, FIV+ cats can still live long and healthy lives! FIV is also not easily transmitted to other cats through casual interaction, so he can live with non-FIV cats just fine.
