Rescue date 11/15/20 My name is Scooter. I'm a purebred Schnauzer. I'm five-years-old and weigh about 14 lbs. I'm on the shy side but very sweet. I also LOVE to play with toys. I will do best with another dog to follow. My adoption fee is $475 which includes the neuter, grooming, up-to-date vaccines, microchip, microchip registration and LOTS OF LOVE ♥ï¸ We are located in the High Desert, Phelan, next to Victorville and Hesperia.

Save A Small Dog Rescue, Inc. DOES require you to fill out an Adoption Application as well as an Adoption Agreement. There is also an Adoption Follow-Up Contract. You may be subject to a home inspection. There is an adoption donation. Our adoption donations range from $125 up to $400 depending on the dog and circumstances. Your adoption donation does not reimburse us for any money we spent on your dog. It is used to help pay for all of the expenses incurred with our rescue program. Unlike animal shelters, we do not receive County funding or other forms of income. We rely on your donations (on top of our adoption donations) to cover the costs associated with rescuing dogs from the shelters, veterinary expenses, dog food, supplies, utility bills, and all other expenses incurred while providing for the dogs in our care.

All dogs are spayed or neutered, up-to-date with vaccines including rabies, dewormed, and micro-chipped. We are a 501 (C) 3 non-profit, charitable tax organization. We are a public benefit corporation. We are truly dog lovers. We are devoted to providing lots of love, nurturing, socialization ( which is a big factor), and patience with the dogs in our care. In return, we want to find people who will love them as much as we do. We are a no-kill rescue which means we house the dog until we find it their "forever" home. The adoption fee barely covers the cost of us caring for the dog. We depend on your donations which goes towards us helping the next dog.
