Benny is a wonderful and sweet dog. He would be a great companion for someone or a family who is home most of the time. He’s funny and goofy, likes tug of war, and toys. He is very well behaved. Benny is a friendly, affectionate, couch potato!

Benny’s ideal adopter: He would do best with someone home all day, as he gets anxious when left alone. Benny would do best with older considerate children. A home where he does not have to be crated, as he does perfectly fine when left out!

Kid-friendly: Does well with older considerate children. Would not recommend a home with small children.

Dogs: Great with small and big dogs!

Cats: Finds them interesting, but mostly leaves them alone.

Crate trained: He has not been crated at in his foster home.

Potty trained: Yes! He will even bark or tap at the door to let you know when he needs to go out!

Our dogs receive heartworm and flea/tick prevention each month. Dogs that have stage 4 dental disease will receive a dental procedure in rescue. We aspirate all lumps and remove those that our veterinary partners suggest removing. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies, distemper, and bordetella), HW test, blood panel, a microchip, and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.
