My story

Good evening, I'm Porsche and it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm a bit of an independent lady sometimes, but I absolutely LOVE attention. Some cats will let you know when they've had enough- but not me! I could be pet all day and be happy about it, if you'll give me the time. I can be a bit shy and fearful at first, unfamiliar noises or movements make me nervous, so I hope you'll understand that I can take time to come out of my shell. I'd like to be the center of your attention, so a quiet home where I'm the star would suit me purr-fect! If you have the patience to give me, I'll pay you back tenfold in love and life time companionship.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
