Here's what the humans have to say about me:
· Intake Reason: surrendered due to owner's health Known with: · Cats: did well with a female cat. Was in foster home with a 13 yr old female and did okay, 6 mo female in foster home was too active for her. · Dogs: did okay, lived with a 12 yr old dachshund mix, calm & respectful dogs would be best · Kids: unknown, WCHS recommends calm & respectful children · Personality: After coming back from her foster home after a month, Ellie is a little nervous getting used to her new temporary home. Her foster family said she can be reserved until she gets into a routine. She has a very calm demeanor and will need time to adjust. Her new family should be patient as it can take a little longer for her to get used to everything. Ellie's favorite toys include peacock feathers and plastic balls.

Visit the shelter. We have an application that takes about 15 minutes to fill out once you have found a pet you like. You call back the next day which gives us time to review the application and gives you 24 hours to think about your decision to adopt. You can also complete our on-line application and get approved in advance of finding the perfect companion. Once approved, you are able to adopt an animal the same day.
