Hi! My name`s Norman, but some folks call me `Stormin` Norman` because I`m a BIG fella! That doesn`t slow me down, though - I`m playful! I love chasing toys around the house and running through tunnels, but my favorite toys are those ring toys with balls in them that I can bat around and around and around. I also enjoy lap time and will lay on you while you watch TV (it`s best to let me jump up on you; I`m not real big on being picked up). I also love lounging in my heated bed (or any soft bed, really). Oh, and I happen to be declawed.
Because I`m such a big boy, I need to stay on low carbohydrate canned food so I can lose weight. This isn`t prescription food, though - there are lots of good over-the-counter foods I can have, and my foster mama can provide a long list to choose from. See, big cats can get arthritis and even diabetes from being overweight, so I need to lose weight to try to help prevent those health problems.
I`m not so good with little kids, so a home with older kids (or no kids) is best. I`m not that keen on dogs, either, but a really laid back, quiet dog who will leave me alone might be okay. I get along with my senior cat roommate (except when it`s feeding time because we both get hangry), but I am a bit of a selective bully with other cats in the house (mainly the males). I`m really good when I have my toys to play with!
