My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*NOTE: Instructions about how to apply for Missy are at the end of this bio.
This little nine-pounder lost her home, her Mom, and her Dad - all at the same time. Her elderly parents were sent to a nursing home, and taking Missy was not to be. The human daughter and son relinquished Missy to us and she was not in good shape at all.

But, she has adapted beautifully in the caring hands of one of our Foster Moms, and she is looking and feeling much better these days! She mainly just sat on the lap of her original Mom; so, she is an experienced cuddler and loves sleeping with you under the covers. Fortunately, she is gaining some independence and is happily learning how to play with toys and one of the other small dogs in the home.

She travels beautifully, and so enjoys exploring new places and experiencing things new to her. She is very adaptable and amiable! Well, except when it comes to her feet...she throws a fit if you want to play footsie with her! LOL! She will sit up and beg for a treat!

Missy is a spayed female Chihuahua who is approximately 5 to 6 years old. She does well with other like-sized dogs and even ignores the cats! Missy is house-trained, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and she tested Negative for heartworms! She is quiet, loving, and cute beyond words. This little Missy-dog is a real treasure, and will be a blessing to whomever is fortunate enough to adopt her!
