Apollo and Othello are bonded brothers who are a perfect pair…Apollo is mostly black with white markings (and amazing white whiskers) and Othello is mostly white with black markings. Their personalities complement each other too, with Apollo being more outgoing and Othello being a bit shy. They chase each other, play together, wrestle together, and you can sometimes find them cuddling and sleeping together along with the other house cats. Apollo will join you overnight while Othello might choose to sleep elsewhere after he gets his goodnight pets from you. Apollo will roll over to show you his belly when he’s happy and Othello has the cutest meow that sounds like a squeaky toy! Will you open your heart and home to these handsome guys? They need to be adopted together, and were born around 08/29/2020.

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
Once you've filled out an application, we will contact your references and put you in touch with the foster/caregiver of the cat. Once your application is approved, we schedule you to attend an online group seminar on cat care. Then you would sign the adoption papers, pay the adoption fee, and make arrangements for the cat to be moved to your home. We always do a home visit which is both reassuring to the cat when it is being introduced and to the foster who has taken care of the cat. Presently we are doing home visits with FaceTime or Zoom to confirm you have secure windows, no toxic plants and a generally safe environment for a cat. The adoption fee is $150 for one cat under 7 years old, $75 for one cat 7 years and older.
All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated (FVRCP and Rabies vaccines), microchipped, dewormed and spayed/neutered. If you adopt kittens that are too young to be altered, we will arrange the spay/neuter/microchip at a later date at a partner vet.

More about this rescue
Anjellicle Cats Rescue is an all-volunteer registered 501c3 cat rescue committed to helping make New York a no-kill city. As one of the most active cat rescues in the 5 boroughs, ACR is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and adopting out homeless cats and kittens, many of which are sick, injured or dismissed as unadoptable. Through a coalition of volunteer advocates and caregivers, each rescued cat is welcomed with kindness and medical care into a foster home with the goal of adoption into a permanent, loving home. We believe that no animal should be ill-treated and strive toward a day when awareness, education and compassion have served to replace euthanasia as a solution to companion animal overpopulation.
