Hello! Duke is a pretty ideal dog. When given the patience, time and attention he needs as he adjusts to a new home, he will be the best companion for anyone! However, he has some separation anxiety that, while it can be managed when fully adjusted in his new home, causes extreme distress for him when parting from his current home. So in order for him to transition smoothly, we learned that we'll need to visit his potential adopter several times before the official parting. And because of that, we're looking for someone a bit closer locally. Also, he would be ideal for an active adopter/household who is home all day, retired, or works from home! Prefer no other pets, can give long daily walks, hikes and play, etc. He is very active, playful, energetic, sweet and loving! Loves to cuddle and follows you around, pretty much just content to be near you but also has little quirks! Great on car rides. Plays well with certain dogs but NOT A DOG PARK/BEACH DOG!
