Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Scarlett is estimated to be about 5 years old. We believe her to be a Catahoula mix, possibly with Great Dane or Australian Shepherd. Pandora weighs in at approximately 81 pounds and could use to shed a few. She is spayed, heartworm negative and up to date on all vaccines and preventions. Pandora was born with a cleft lip and misshapen tail that makes her both adorable and unique.
Like most Catahoulas, Scarlett will be happy to hold a conversation with you. She's gentle and calm. She is good with other dogs, but can be a bit shy at first meeting them. She would probably enjoy the calmer, quieter set. She is very sweet and affectionate. Cats and little dogs are unknown.
Scarlett is housebroken and well mannered. She walks beautifully on a leash and is just an overall perfect girl.
**Scarlett was recently returned to us after a bite involving the 11 child in her adopted home. Scarlett had been placed on medication for spay incontinence, which had side effects that included irritability and aggression. The adopters noted a marked change in her behavior when this medication was started, that is when the bite occurred. Upon her return, we had both our vet and a certified behaviorist/trainer evaluate Scarlett. Both were in aggreeance that her behavior was a result of an adverse reaction to the medication. The medication was immediately stopped upon her return and the vet has placed her on an alternative medication. Since her return, she has shown nothing but love, wiggles, affection and comfortablility with everyone in the home. There has been no irritability whatsoever. The first medication just unfortunately didn't agree with her. We will however, require a home with no children under 15.
