My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Everybody! I'm Jake, and I am a 6 year old Powderpuff boy. I lost
my last human when she had to move into a nursing home. I was
very sad and confused. Where had my home and person gone? As
you can see, I was pretty *ahem* chubby when I first came into
rescue. I weighed 42 pounds, and I should only be about 15! I
have lost 10 pounds already. I love going on walks with my foster
mom and it is doing wonders for my figure. I am just an all-around
nice guy. I am very easy-going and really enjoy everything life has
to offer. I get along well with quiet, low-key dogs like me and hope
to have a dog buddy in my new home. I am curious about cats but
don't chase them or anything. I am a little shy (I smile when my
foster mom smooches me-that is new for me, and I get a little
embarrassed!) and would like a nice quiet home. Loud noise and
commotion frighten me. I also would like my family to be around a
lot, as I don't really like to be alone. I do have Cushing's disease,
but don't require medication for it. I would really like to be
someone's little boy again.
