My story

Ezra is a smart, fun, playful boy. Ezra was found as a stray by animal control but was not claimed by anyone so Paw Pals took over his care. Ezra had to have surgery on his eyes because his lids were turned inward and irritated his eyes. Ezra is so smart and quickly learns new commands. He does like to chase squirrels and seems to have some interest in chasing cows so probably would not be best to live on a ranch unless he had further training. To meet Ezra, please contact Hill County Paw Pals by phone 254-580-0679, 254-580-5261, or e-mail hcpawpals@yahoo.com. An online adoption application is available at hcpawpals.org. An adoption fee of $165.00 will help to offset vet expenses. (This includes Texas sales tax required for all pet adoptions by rescue groups)

Why adoption is a great option

Ezra, a Hillsboro Plott Hound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Plott Hound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Plott Hound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
