My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlie is, quite simply, the best dog I've ever had. We adopted him about a year ago, in the heat of Covid-19, from the Wilson County Animal Shelter. To our knowledge, he had been there for a few months (they estimate he was 1-2 years old at the time) and was a stray prior to being rescued. He'd been digging in people's trashcans for food. As soon as we saw him, we fell in love. He's so gentle and loving, though given his past he's easily frightened. He's still working on being friendly with other dogs (we don't think he spent much time around other animals growing up), but he loves people and he LOVES giving kisses. He's a very active and healthy boy, so if you love to go for long walks or have a big yard where he can roam, that'd be ideal. But generally speaking, he's just a big cuddle bug. Sadly, I'll be moving to NYC later this year, and won't be able to bring him with me. But rest assured, if you're looking for a loving, silly, active doggo, Charlie is the best you'll find.
