Hunter, Yellow Lab X, 10+?
Hunter's family is in the middle of a mental health crisis and he has been developing some medical needs of his own that are difficult for the family to manage. Hunter is a barker, especially when left alone, so no shared walls. Hunter loves tennis balls and kongs. Perfect in the car. Not crate trained. He is described as a "sweet easy going dog. He really can get along with anyone. He wants to please."
Cats/Dogs: Hunter has lived with dogs, cats, chicken, sheep and bunnies with no issue. He currently lives with other dogs and cats. Likes to wrestle with the other dogs. Loves new dogs.
Kids: Currently lives with an 8 year old.
Health Concerns: Hunter has developed an anal tumor that is not treatable (according to current vet) that makes it so he needs to go outside every few hours. Does not like to be touched at the base of his tail.
Hunter had a mass removed from his anus while in rescue. Unfortunately, the mass stemmed deep into his anal canal that they were not able to remove it in its entirety. Because of this, it will most likely come back in the future. Also, the mass is a low-grade malignant tumor meaning cancerous. He's had the mass for many years and it's grown slowly so we are confident that it is not aggressive.
