My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Must have a physically fenced yard at new home.

This happy girl is Missy (or Big Missy since we have 2 dogs named Missy right now) and she is an almost 2 year old German Shepherd and Alaskan Malamute mix who weighs just over 60 pounds. Missy came to us as a transfer from the Clark County Animal Shelter when they were running out of space for dogs.

Missy is one of the sweetest and most affectionate dogs you will ever meet! She loves people but can be a little timid with men initially. Once she realizes you are okay she is the biggest love bug and can't get enough attention!
Missy LOVES running and playing in the yard and carrying sticks or toys around. She will even throw them up in the air herself and catch them or toss them around the yard to chase them! She does need a little leash training and to learn to not jump up when excited. She is very smart and we are sure she would pick up on training fast with consistency and patience. Missy doesn't have accidents in her kennel and we were told she was housetrained before coming to us.

Missy gets along great with the other dogs here at the shelter and would love a home with a playful companion to romp and play with! She will need a home without cats or chickens as we were told she does not do well with them.
Missy seems to like children but we would recommend the children in the home be 8 years and older or have experience with big dog energy as she does get the zoomies occasionally. Missy must have a physically fenced in yard at her new home as she does have a tendency of wandering if she gets out and she needs unrestricted playtime to work out some of her energy. :)
