My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you’re looking for a best friend that will stick with you till the end, look no further because Bubba is your guy! This cutie is about 3 years old and his foster mama says he is“60lbs of sugar.” He had a rough start to life where some bad people really let him down, but his foster mama has made up for all the bad he experienced before & he is ready to meet his forever family!

Bubba has the cutest nub tail and expressive ears (one taller than the other!) that he will use to tell you what he’s thinking. He has the softest fur and even loves to jump in the shower with his foster mama for a bath! Bubba LOVES other dogs and humans - he prefers companionship over being alone and will take it anywhere he can get it, from humans or other dogs. He is crate trained and potty trained and walks beautifully on a leash! When he gets excited, a simple “no pull” will calm him down and bring him back by your side. His foster mama says it’s important to crate him while you’re away, because this cutie likes to chew and sometimes he doesn’t know the difference between a toy and your shoe! His kennel is his “safe space” and crucial for him to get used to his new home.

Bubba is a smart, gentle boy that learns quickly and is eager to please. He gives the sweetest kisses, takes treats gently and loves to give hugs! He is extremely loyal and attaches quickly to his humans - he wants to be wherever you are! He loves car rides and has even gotten to go on some camping trips in his foster parents’ RV, where he has done wonderfully. He is an active pup that loves his fenced-in yard where he can run around or sunbathe at his leisure. He has been going to doggie daycare and the employees there absolutely adore him, and say he has been “showing the new dogs the ropes,” what a charmer!

Bubba’s dream home will have another doggie or two that will be his companion while his parents are away and will enjoy adventures with him. He takes cues from his canine companions and will grow more and more confident with another pup in the house! He is great with the cat in his foster home, too. Bubba needs a confident, patient handler that will give him time to adjust to his new home and clearly communicate what is expected of him. All Bubba wants is to be in a stable home that will love him for the rest of his life.
